In the late 1990's Cross produced two exquisite variants of their highly respected Townsend pen - the Lapis Lazuli and the Jade. Each used semi-precious stones in their finish, ground finely, mixed with 24k gold flakes and then applied as a lacquer. The Jade pen is a wonderful shade of green with irridescent flakes of gold floating in it and the design really catches the eye. Above the clip is engraved the Chinese symbol for jade, just to add a feel of the stone's origin. Our mint condition pen is fitted with a 14k gold nib in medium width and comes complete with the original large presentation box. A fabulous pen, and a personal favourite of mine, so much so that I have one of my very own that I use regularly!
